DRAFT — NOT FOR PUBLICATION. The description of how the service works is derived from the BIMA app as built and is accurate as of 8 October 2026. Sections marked [LEGAL] must be settled by Milvik's legal counsel before this is published or linked from the app.
These terms govern your use of the BIMA mobile app in Pakistan. By signing in, you accept them.
What the app is
The BIMA app lets you see the cover you hold, speak to a doctor, keep your household's health records, and make and follow a claim. It is operated by Milvik AB and its local partners.
The app is not your insurance policy. What you are covered for, and for how much, is set by the policy documents and the terms of the product you bought — usually through your mobile operator or payment partner. Where the app and your policy documents disagree, the policy documents govern.
Your account
- Your account is tied to your mobile number. Anyone who can receive the one-time passcode sent to that number can sign in.
- Keep your number and handset secure, and tell us promptly if you lose control of either.
- Give accurate information about yourself and anyone you add as a dependant, and keep it up to date. Cover and claims rest on it.
Medical consultations
- Consultations are provided by qualified doctors we engage. They give advice, and where appropriate a diagnosis and a prescription, based on what you tell them and what they can observe remotely.
- A remote consultation is not a substitute for emergency care. If you believe you are facing a medical emergency, go to the nearest hospital or call emergency services rather than booking a consultation.
- Clinical records created during a consultation belong to your health record and are kept as described in the Privacy Policy.
Claims
- You can start a claim in the app and upload the documents it asks for.
- Submitting a claim is not an acceptance of it. Whether a claim is paid, and how much, is decided by the insurer under your policy.
- We may ask you for further documents. A claim can be delayed or declined if we do not receive them.
- Giving false or misleading information in support of a claim may void your cover and may be reported.
[LEGAL] Claim time limits, the appeal route, and the complaints and ombudsman process.
What you may not do
Use someone else's account; submit documents that are not genuine; attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the service; or use it for anything unlawful.
Service availability
We work to keep the app available, but it depends on mobile networks and on systems outside our control. We may suspend it for maintenance. Features may change, and a feature may be withdrawn.
Liability
[LEGAL] The liability position, its exclusions, and its limits.
Governing law
[LEGAL] Governing law and the forum for disputes.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. When we do, we will update the version shown in the app and ask you to accept the new version when you next sign in.
